Picture of Venice cemetery on San Michele island. Part of the cemetery has been redesigned by the British architect David Chipperfield : courtyards and wall tombs alternate in what is a maximized occupation of space.
Families and friends who come to the cemetery need to use watering cans and step ladders to refresh the flowers on the wall tombs.
